Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Nominees 2012 By Music Lover [62 more lists]
Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees in 2012 include well-known artists and bands in the music industry. Several different genres are covered, including rap, rock, blues and R&B. Each year, 15 Rock Hall of Fame nominees are chosen. Of those, inductees are picked at year's end, with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony held in March. Who will get in this year? Who deserves to get in this year? Time to vote for the artist or band you think most deserves to make the cut! Anyone glaringly left off of this year's nominees (Rush, anyone)? The 2012 Rock Hall of Fame nominees include disco queen Donna Summer, female rockers Joan Jett (and her Blackhearts) and Heart, the hip-hop duo Eric B. & Rakim, rock bands the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Guns N' Roses and British bands The Cure and Small Faces, and more.
What does it take to get a nomination? Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees become eligible for induction 25 years after their debut album (or single). Who will make up the Rock Hall of Fame's Class of 2012? That remains to be seen, but for now, I thought it might be interesting to see how you guys would vote.
