Safe Haven Movie Quotes

"Safe Haven" movie quotes tell the tale of one woman running from her dark past who falls in love after settling in a small South Carolina town. The romantic thriller was directed by Lasse Hallstrom based on an adapted screenplay by Gage Lansky and Dana Stevens. Nicholas Sparks, known for "The Notebook," provided the story for the film with his novel of the same name. "Safe Haven" was released on February 14, 2013, in the United States.

In "Safe Haven," Katie Feldman (Julianne Hough) is introduced while fleeing from Boston via bus to South Carolina. She barely escapes with detectives hot on her trail. Upon arriving in Southport, Katie settles down in the tiny, quaint town. She moves into a house, gets a job and makes one close friend, Jo (Cobie Smulders).

Katie also meets a charming man, Alex (Josh Duhamel), but despite his best intentions, Katie refuses to open her heart to him. Finally once Katie realizes that he too is vulnerable, having lost his wife a few years earlier, does she allow herself to fall in love with him. This comes however at an untimely moment as right when Katie is getting comfortable with Alex in Southport is when the authorities from Boston have tracked her down.
