I should think this entire series fits neatly into this category....witches, wizards. goblins, dragons, basilisks, etc...

I can't imagine NOT having seen this movie....classic fantasy at it's best. Flying dragon (who somehow manages to look like a large dog), all sorts of fun creatures and let's not forget the kingdom that desperately needs to be saved! Lovely.

This movie always reminds me of Labyrinth and vice-versa. A young Tom Cruise doing a fantasy movie...who knew?

A childhood favorite...much in the way of 'Enchanted' and 'Pagemaster', this movie is half live-action and half cartoon. And it's got Angela Lansbury in it. Classic.

I consider this one of Michael Keaton's best roles. And the young Winona Ryder plays a great Lydia. The cast alone is worth seeing this one for. :)

Being one of the millions of Johnny fanatics, I ate this up. Don't get me wrong, the other one is still a classic, but this one was closer to the book (yeah, I'm one of THOSE people).

I also never read Roald Dahl's Matilda. This is really a fantastic movie! Definitely fits more into the 'fantasy' genre....beautiful scenes; very colorful! And, wow! What a cast!

Willow. Ah, Willow. This is truly a spectacular film. I can watch this one over and over and over....it's got everything a great action/fantasy movie should have. Yeah, EVERYTHING. Warwick Davis is phenomenal as Willow; you may also know him as Professor Flitwick from 'Harry Potter', the Leprechaun from the 'Leprechaun' series, or, my favorite: Wicket the Ewok from 'Star Wars'!

Penelope comes from a very blue-collar family. Very high class, lots and lots of money....only one problem, she's got a pig's nose. And no, I didn't just give anything away. :) This film is AWESOME.

This one was just cool. Just so cool. Also based on a book series, this film stars Freddie Highmore and Freddie Highmore doing the 'Parent Trap' thing by playing believable twin brothers! I would see it for his acting alone.

A bunch of kids who believe in old-school monsters (i.e. Dracula, Creature From the Black Lagoon, etc.) run into the ACTUAL monsters themselves!! If you haven't seen this movie, don't even waste time renting it. Just go buy it. It's too cool.

Based on the book series by Christopher Paolini. This is one of the ones that if you've read the book, you'll hate it, but if not, it's great! Did have a good cast.

We need The Goonies and Monster Squad on here!

We should rank these from best to worst, though, cause seeing Zathura next to the Wizard of Oz makes me want to cringe/cry/kill :-)

I've got Monster Squad on there already...and I'd TOTALLY put the Goonies on there, except nothing supernatural ever happens to them...just weird stuff. Excellent movie, though! :)

Otherwise, I just put them alphabetically...
