Since I haven't read many pleasure books (trying to change that!), this is a compilation list of favorites I HAVE read and books that are in my Kindle queue. The queued books appear below the separator on the list.

I am excluding books that are exclusively for children. Unfortunately, that cuts my list into about 1/10th of the size. ;D

I am also excluding self-help books and instructionals. Only stories, whether fiction or non-fiction.

As with all of my lists, this is just my opinion. And I haven't experienced all there is to offer, so I'm sure I'm missing some gems. No one will agree with me, so please feel free to export the items on my list and make your own!

    You are going to LOVE these books. I recommend them to anyone, even non-genre fans, just because of the sheer skill of the writing and storytelling. Seriously, I've rarely seen a writer who is better at serving his story.

    Everybody on the planet it seems has read that Howard Zinn book - I hadn't even heard about it till recently. just pulled the trigger on ordering from amazon.

      I heard about it on Reddit. It is pretty good so far, especially since I always hated history in school. It definitely sheds a new light on it all.
