Lied to the American people and promoted a war for his own ego and for his hopeful historical position as a war winning president. His arrogance caused the death and crippling effects of war on over 1 million Americans, the 57,000 who died in Vietnam, the 110,000 who came home and committed suicide, the 200,000 disabled, the 300,000-400,000 who have severe post tramatic syndrome and the 500,000 mother, fathers, brothers, sisters, wives and children of the dead, disabled and the severely mentally and emotionally disabled who were left to deal with the mess Johnson created. It is one thing to go to war to defend the nation, it is another thing to do it for one incredably self centered man's inflated ego.
