Jesus is a Friend of Mine
In the late 70s, early 80s, there existed a band named Sonseed who made a music video for their song "Jesus is a Friend of Mine". Then, almost three decades later in 2008, the video made it onto YouTube and went viral and has since received over 5 million views and counting.
Originally aired on a religious show, this campy, hilariously light-hearted music video made it onto the scene by people watching it ironically. Even the iTunes reviews of people who bought the song are making fun of it.
This, of course, led to remixes and parodies galore. And here they are.

Zombie Jesus
Zombie Jesus is one of the most obvious jokes you could make about Jesus around Easter time (or any time, really). He came back from the dead and was therefore, technically, "undead" -- much like the flesh-eating monsters we all love and care about so much these days. So the college students above have used it to fight against those crazy born again Christians who make a dayjob out of arguing with young people who still have the kind of energy to actually give them the time of day.
So, it's not really a singular meme that you can see floating around the internet, but more of a concept that's done so well over time that it's really never going away. So, of course, you have short films, viral videos and various image jokes and webcomics.

Hipster Jesus
The entire hipster meme phenomenon had to spark a Hipster Jesus at some point. And it did. And it was good. If you're not hip to the Hipster memes, their basic setup is that once you put a pair of hipster glasses on anything, that person/place/thing immediately become a pretentious, elitist, douchebag who has already heard of everything you talk about.

Republican Jesus
Drawing attention to the vast difference between modern Republican ideals and that of the teachings of Jesus Christ himself by juxtaposing the two. The Republican Jesus meme takes the LOL Jesus meme and makes it political, putting a Republican elephant in the picture and showing off the hypocrisy of born again right-wingers.
The point being, of course, that this is a little bit of a more realistic depiction of Jesus in meme form here:
