Being a news reporter is a thankless job. You're basically just reading to people too lazy to look at a newspaper/website. Which explains my favorite kind of news blooper. Because there are endless kinds on the internet, YouTube is riddled with them. But the freakout. Oh, the freakout. The freakout is the most uncomfortable, surreal and hilarious kind.
Trying to have a conversation at a party can be tough as it is. There are loud noises all around you, people dancing, running around, having fun, and all while you're trying to have a side-part and wear a suit. Imagine trying to do a serious report from one. That's what this poor guy was attempting at the GOP party after Ronald Reagan's election.
There's no way to tell how many times he was trying to get that one perfect take, but it's a safe bet it never came.
"Can anybody hear me?" Decades later, yes, we hear you, and think this is hilarious.
The last interruption is, by far, the best.

Reporter Almost Swears, Acts Like Little Girl
Animal segments are always amazing. In any medium. Because if there's one thing that struggling actors love it's having to learn something new.
In this clip, a lizard just wants to explore its new surroundings, but the reporter wasn't ready for it.
I don't want to ruin this one, as it doesn't really need an explanation. Another internet classic.
3
Anchor Vs. Reporter
Holy sh*t. Two reporters fall just short of literally taking their dongs out and using them as pool-noodle-lightsabers.
The confrontation between these two is one for the ages.
I am pretty sure that this clip inspired one of the best SNL bits in awhile:

Female Reporter Discovers That She is The Hulk
Onlookers are the bane of any reporter's existence. From the "Hi Mom" to people looking to get on TV waving like idiots, it makes an already difficult job almost unbearable.
This poor lady not only has to do a fluff piece, probably getting called "toots" in the office, but when a Canadian-sounding Mr. Clean lookalike comes around she has to take care of him too. He is pretty great though, with a nice "Suck it" comment and some sweet dance moves.
To bad she is not having it after the third time. This is when she lets out a literal "Greaaugh!" and chases after the guy so bad that the heavyset sound operator decides he needs to get involved.
Reeeer.

Take a Walk, Assh*ole
This guy reacts in the coolest, most matter-of-fact way to some guy taunting him off-camera.
The way he says the phrase which makes this video so great shows that he's probably the kind of drunk who would punch a stranger over looking at him funny. This is a real man. Will real-man rage issues.
With so little given, you are left to wonder what the beef was between these two. I'd like to think that the guy used to be a big fan of the reporter's, but over the years he noticed that Mr. Reporter was getting too big for his britches and then, one fateful day he sees him reporting from the mall and is finally able to give him a piece of his mind.

Flamboyant Weatherman Vs. The Bug
Weathermen get a bad wrap. It's their job to "predict" weather, something that borders on magic. They then have to deal with people yelling at them when their fortune telling doesn't pan out. No, I've never heard of meteorology. What? You're insane, that sounds like witchcraft. Moving on...
So picture his dismay when he is presented with what I can only imagine is bug as big as his hand.
Naturally, as a weatherman, the meter maid of the news reporter community, he reacts much like any little girl would. It's okay. You can make fun of weathermen, they don't have feelings.

Weatherman Freaks out on Lightning.
Before we had Double Rainbow, we had this guy. A reporter who doesn't lose his temper, but loses his cool. Over what? How awesome lightning looks on the street. And to the guy's credit, it does look pretty badass.
He acts like a 5 year-old at Christmas. It is wonderful.

Drunk Guy Gets in the Way, Deserves Face Tap
Drunk people are the worst. Actually, we're the best. But this particular guy is a douche.
We have all had to deal with the drunk person who thinks that they are the funniest thing in the room. Some of us have been that person. And someone us were that person this Satuday (I'm sorry, everyone).
This reporter does his best to avoid the drunk guy, but fails when he gets too close. He ends up giving him a little face tap at the end, leading us to the look given to us by the reporter to the right (stage left).
Amazing.

Weatherman Just Wants to Finish
Camille is obviously being kind of an idiot in this one. This guy loses it on her in what actually seems like a kind of justified freakout.
The guy's just trying to get all science-y on their asses to do his job and Camille doesn't get that she really just needs to pick her moments better.
She may as well be saying "Dad! Dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad dad...".

Reporter Vs. High School Kid Get Into Fisticuffs
Lol, "Fisticuffs".
Once again the onlookers are just out to push poor location reporters to the edge. Not only are they on the low end of the totem pole, having to go out on location and shoot pre-taped filler, but this time (and I know this sounds like a trailer for a cheap kids' comedy in the 90s but) they have to deal with the likes of this one ethnic high school student.
To be fair this is a thug fighting against his very nature. I mean, he has to "represent" AND "keep it real", and when presented with the opportunity to do so on a wider scale, he's overwhelmed and feels the need to immediately "front".
The shots he gets in at the end are pretty amazing though.
"Text this! Put that on your Myspace page!"
This is the insult I use against high school students to this day. The bewildered looks are worth it.

Off-air Freak Out
Ah, the old school news. Back when Blue Screen was King and Aquanet was Queen. There's a ton of great footage of the old generation of pompous newscasters getting fed up, but this is one of the best.
Remember when news reporters actually had something written down in the papers in front of them?
The irony lies in the fact that she is lashing out about not looking professional, which is completely unprofessional.
(Note: skip to 2:20 after the first rant to see the ending one as there are some boring bits in the middle.)
12
Reporter Eats Bug, Goes Ghetto
It's really hard to control things like the weather, people and, in this case, animals. You can't blame the guy for freaking out when a giant bug flies in his mouth while on location.
I think the best part about this is listening to his voice go from professional news reader to street corner gangsta in one second. Amazing.
13
Bill O'Reilly Freak Out
And finally, an internet classic.
When his brain malfunctions, Bill O'Reilly can't seem understand a simple phrase on the teleprompter. So, in pure O'Reilly fashion, he freaks out, swears at someone getting paid less than him and decides that he'll do it his way.
And thus one of the most overused internet references was born when he said, "WE'LL DO IT LIVE! F*CK IT! We'll do it live..."
It would've been a crime to exclude this one. Perfect.
