    Scottish adult film actress Laurie Wallace graduated Summa C*m Laude (must not... make... joke) with a double major in German and Political Science from Loyola College in Maryland. She later attended law school at George Washington University.

    She was also an intern on K Street, a center for various think tanks and advocacy groups located in Washington D.C.

    A graduate student at NYU, Lorelei Lee, 28, is a well known porn star who has managed being a student and adult film star for almost 10 years.

    (Not to be mistaken with the wrestler)

    Lorelei is a 2008 graduate from San Francisco State University. She enrolled at NYU's creative writing program.

    Despite much criticism, she continues to juggle both her adult professional career AND her grueling academic duties/schedule.

    Jenna Jameson

    Jenna Jameson is widely considered the most successful woman in porn. (As well as starring in mainstream films.)

    While her academic career isn't much to marvel at we have to give credit to the woman who almost single handedly brought porn into the mainstream. She owns multiple businesses and built up, then sold to Playboy, an enormously profitable production company in ClubJenna (that has over $30 million in revenue, with at least half of that being profit).

    The biggest reason for Jenna Jameson making this list, though, is her debating skills. In 2001, the Oxford Union debating society invited Jameson to come to Oxford to debate a proposed British law against pornography. Shockingly, she led her side to victory, winning the debate 204 to 27.

    She's also taken Bill O'Reilly to task for some of his hypocritical ways. Here's a youtube video of her appearance on his show, Jenna Jameson on Bill O'Reilly . Later, in February 2003, Pony International planned to feature her as one of several porn stars in advertisements for athletic shoes. This plan was attacked by O'Reilly, then Jameson sent a sarcastic email to the show, writing:

    "I hope Bill understands the difference between a porn star and a hooker. I assume he has done some research on the subject because he requested some of my videos after we finished taping my appearance. I imagine he wanted them for professional reasons."

    I heard Max Hardcore on national public radio here in Canada explaining that the majority of women in his Gonzo films have PhDs, and that they partic**ate in the Gonzo p**n as an artistic expression of their unique human sexuality and sensuality. He went on to elaborate that the Gonzo production house he runs is less about profit than it is a spiritual practice of a progressive alternative community.     To set the record straight, there have been exactly FIVE cases of HIV detected since 2004, four in '04 and 1 last year, when a new performer was found to be HIV+, after she had done a BJ scene. The other cases were either people being screened before their first scenes (and therefore kept out of the talent pool), or were "civilians" (non-performers) who were just getting tested on their own.

      What's your source for those statistics? As far as I'm aware (and to be fair, I don't know much about the adult industry but I have read a decent amount about it) adult stars have some of the highest rates of testing for STDs in Western society for the simple reason that their profession makes their exposure to it more likely. There are plenty of rules and regulations in place to protect them from infection - and not just rules made up on the spot but ones enforced by the adult media industry and state/federal laws.
      Asia Carrera's education is a widely known fact. I'm not aware that she's a drug addict. Just because she makes a tonne of money doesn't mean she's making it to fuel a habit. Plenty of politicians make millions every year, not all of them are junkies.
      Drug addiction is rife in the industry, yes, but mainly in the 'amateur' p**n that you'll find on RedTube. The s**tty stuff you get for free should never be confused with the standards of an industry.

        The LA Times ran a story last year about 16 previously unknown cases of HIV in the p**n industry. It's not just STD's that are a problem, as suicide is rampant and there are also some violent deaths, such as the case this spring of the p**n star with a sword. As for Asia Carrera, well, here is a direct quote from her blog dated 4/29 of this year: "I got my 30-day sobriety chip from AA today! WOOHOO" She is to be congratulated, but I'm sure that most of the info cited, (one website said she is a college professor!) about her is exagerrated or just plain lies. CEO's, politicians and military leaders lie about their background, so why would you think p**n stars don't?

    Why do people associate university degrees with intellegence? Most degrees are absolute useless c**p and a waste of time. Most people I know who have degrees work in areas that have no relevance to their education (most are low paid). I did the most intelligent thing of all my friends and started a business at age 18 instead of going to university. I am 33 now and have retired in comfort. Get a degree in life and the world is your oyster.
