A list of the best cheerleading movies. These are films that focus on the sport of cheerleading, including what happens on the field as well as behind the scenes (such as cheerleading scandals). With that in mind, most of these films are categorized as dramas, albeit dramas geared towards a teenage audience. We believe we thought of them all, but if you think we missed one please feel free to add it to the list yourself. Cheerleading movies began mostly as exploitation films in the 1970's. The films largely died out during the 80's and 90's until they saw a resurgence in the year 2000 with the film "Bring it On".
