The Best Horribly-Named Rock Bands of All Time
Clark Benson List of great bands with crap names. Criteria: great band, and crap name. Greatness of band and crappiness of name are weighted equally, but mediocre names don't count - they have to really be bad names. I am almost always right about whether I will like a band or not based on their name - these bands are the few exceptions that proved me wrong.

Alternative rock“ The motherlode of bad band naming. „ - 2
Alternative rock, Experimental rock, Indie rock More“ An almost criminally bad name. „ - 3
Alternative rock, Progressive rock, Electronic music More“ Radiohead is only a marginally-crappy name, and they are certainly the best band on this list IMHO, hence the #3 slot „ - 4
Alternative rock, Alternative country, Country rock“ Could have seen this band at least 10 times playing in Champaign and Chicago before I moved to California, but never did, because of their name. My loss, but their loss for not having a great fan like me until years later, ha. „ - 5
The Geraldine Fibbers
“ Love this band, hate the name (one of the reasons they didn't sell ANY records). „ - 6
Alternative rock, Rock music, Soul music More“ Sold a few more records than the above-mentioned fibbers, but still a pretty bad name „ - 7 Rock music, Hard rock, Heavy metal More“ OK, maybe they aren't yet a GREAT band (kinda early to tell, tho I do like them). It's my list so I'm leaving them on here, and it is quite possibly the WORST band name ever. „
