The original sniper.  First player with 50 goals in a season (a 50-game season) and first to score 500 in career (544).  Led the league in goals five times but never won an NHL scoring title.  The Maurice 'Rocket' Richard Trophy, bearing his name, is awarded to the league's top goal scorer. see more on Maurice Richard
