Star Trek TNG: Bridge Home TheaterModeled after the Enterprise NCC-1701D from The Next Generation, this thing boasts "motion-activated air-lock doors with series sound effects, and a "Red Alert" button on the Crestron TPMC-10 controller to turn all of the LEDs bright red and flashing. The system also features "one of the largest Kaleidescape hard-drive based storage systems" ever created, amassing eight servers with 3,816 DVDs."
Classic Star Trek: Bridge Home TheaterWith a price tag of $3,000,000 this theater is only for either the most diehard trekkies or the most well off. (Really it would need to be a combination of both.)
Dubbed "one of the most technically and structurally advanced private theaters in the United States" by its creators, this Star Trek-inspired media room picked up this year’s Custom Electronic Design & Installation Assn. (CEDIA) award for Best Overall Theme Theater. The system’s extensive list of completely customized elements include motorized sliding doors, intelligent concert-type lighting, and an amplification system that can endure extreme volumes for prolonged periods of time.
Stargate Home TheaterThis $70,000 theater is perfect for your Stargate fans, complete with it's own Stargate. It surrounds a 10-foot diagonal circular screen that shows a 96-inch diagonal image. The circle within the Stargate can also light up blue, mimicking the water that appears in the show's Stargate prior to transport.
The theater, explains Phil Chaney, president of the Louisville division of Visual Concepts, uses a blend of styles from Stargate Atlantis, the original Stargate SG-1 TV series, and the 1994 movie. There are even air pocket doors that open like those on Star Trek and a star dome that shows comets streaking across the sky
The Stargate is made from MDF (medium-density fiberboard), with the symbols, or glyphs, of Lexan (a plexiglass-like resin). The glyphs and other effects in the room are backlit with large, old-style Christmas tree bulbs.
Pirate Home TheaterCurrently under construction in Palm Beach, Florida, this pirate themed theater is being built for an exclusive group of millionaires for their private screenings. The theater will have it's own ticket booth, pirate tavern bar and very comfy seating.
