The Greatest Doctor Who Companions of All Time
These are my favorite Doctor Who Companions of all time. I tend to like the newer series better than classic Who, but Sarah Jane Smith and Romana I think are the best companions the classic eps had to offer. I also find that I like the "secondary companions" we see in an episode here or there rather than the stalwart season long companions. Lady Chtina De Souza for example was only around for one special, but she still made an impression.

1. Jamie - Charming Scottish boys with cute faces in kilts are always a good thing.
2. Liz Shaw - because brains are sexy and she understood the Doctor's gibberish.
3. Dodo - no one else really likes her, but I thought she was charming and really cute.
4. Zoe - again brains are sexy. It was fun the Second Doctor and her could babble and make Jamie feel all confused. Also looking good in a jump suit didn't hurt.
5. Ian & Barbara (tie) - Both were confident in their fields and were capable of handling themselves and not always crying and screaming like Victoria.
