The Greatest Doctor Who Companions of All Time

These are my favorite Doctor Who Companions of all time. I tend to like the newer series better than classic Who, but Sarah Jane Smith and Romana I think are the best companions the classic eps had to offer. I also find that I like the "secondary companions" we see in an episode here or there rather than the stalwart season long companions. Lady Chtina De Souza for example was only around for one special, but she still made an impression.

    Amelia Pond

Flirty, Cute as a button and actually challenges the doctor a bit.
  2. 2
To go from "most annoying character" to single most charming character to appear on Who is quite a feat. Torchwood is fine, but when he's with the Doctor he's amazing.
  3. 3
The companion from which all other companions chase.
  4. 4

    Lady Christina De Souza

Love it when the Doctor brings out the best in people, and Lady De Souza was a perfect example of this.
  5. 5
The Doctor's "daughter", I like many people would very much like to see her return to partner up with her "dad" once again.

I tend to love the classic companions more. My top five are:

    1. Jamie - Charming Scottish boys with cute faces in kilts are always a good thing.

    2. Liz Shaw - because brains are sexy and she understood the Doctor's gibberish.

    3. Dodo - no one else really likes her, but I thought she was charming and really cute.

    4. Zoe - again brains are sexy. It was fun the Second Doctor and her could babble and make Jamie feel all confused. Also looking good in a jump suit didn't hurt.

    5. Ian & Barbara (tie) - Both were confident in their fields and were capable of handling themselves and not always crying and screaming like Victoria.

    4 and 5 aren't even really companions!

And this list is not "All Time"!
