The 2016 election is still months away, but the races for both the Democratic and Republican nominations have been going since roughly five seconds after the last election. With dozens of primaries on the horizon, a disgruntled candidate from either party throw the whole thing into chaos by announcing a third party run - something that likely wouldn't happen until the nominations are locked up.

Former New York mayor Michael Bloomberg has already said he might run on an independent ticket should far-right Donald Trump and far-left Bernie Sanders win. Could someone else throw their hat in the ring? Who should it be? A career politician with a clear, non-partisan vision for where to take the country? Or a true outsider from another profession or industry, who would have a innovative and fresh approach to policy?

To make this list, candidates should be eligible to hold the office of President of the United States (so no children, fictional characters, or Arnold Schwarzenegger) and likely to run as an independent third-party candidate. If you think your favorite author, or pundit, or movie star deserves a shot, add them to the list and vote up your favorite suggestions.
