The Most Overrated Books of All Time By tyvick [25 more lists]
Labeling something as "overrated" is just about as subjective of a qualification as they come, so really you could just term this list as one full of books that I resent. I also resent them mainly without having read them, which is particularly pretentious, but I don't think that I can apologize for being very skeptical of the airy optimism that everyone who's read "The Secret" seem to impart on other readers. Most of these books are just freakin' cheesy, and that's it. I threw Harry Potter in there not because I resent it or because of overt pretension; I guess I just missed the boat on it when i was a kid, and I can't share the zeal that hundreds of millions of people do over Quidditch. Oh well.
