I grew up knowing this guy, good friends of my sister and brother-in-law. He ran an electronics company that was one of the biggest in the area. When making decisions on DADT I'm sure they will want to research the history of gays in military service. The not so sacred band of thieves, aka some members of the gay community have been telling a slightly unrealistic version of Greek history. They tend to lean on Plutarch and his rendition the the band, and ignore overall Greek history. What is left out is the history of slavery in ancient greece, pedophilla, and the combination of the two. As the not so sacred band of Thebes was considered to be made up of free Greeks it is highly probable they were slave owners. Obviously they were men of a sexual nature and therefore we can only guess what atrocities happened to young male slaves that feel into the bands service. Bottom line is there is nothing sacred in owning slaves and nothing sacred in raping them. Greeks used the word sacred quite differently than we do today, they even used it to name a road. Gays selling us Plutarchs version may be deliberately leaving out the truth of slavery and pedophilla because they harbor sick fantasies of ancient Greece and the open attitudes towards homosexuality and pedophilia.

I have spent the last hour or so searching, and there appears to be nothing to this. It was reported by a few gossip sites and blogs two years ago, but there has been no follow up. Even at the time, several admitted that it was probably just a rumor started by the governor who he was expected to run against in the next election.
