This list is going to uncover the top 10 gems in the sand.This list was very hard to make as I had to study all the good games ever and I have come up with a decent list. Spyro: Year of the Dragon

First up on this list is Spyro: Year of the Dragon. This was one of the first games I ever played and it blew my mind. There are many amazing characters to be and many missions for you to do including going after 150 dragon eggs and collecting every single gem out there. The boss battles were great as well. The second one was very hard. You can go to a variety of different areas and levels like a castle,underground,a volcano and a desert. This is an amazing game and I urge you guys to try it out or watch a walkthrough. It's a great game and you should try it!

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness

Number nine is a DS GAME! AND ITS A POKEMON GAME! Yes it is. The Pokemon series is known worldwide and although some people believe it is a kids only game they are wrong. Pokemon is a strategic battle of wits and this game is no different. This is the sequel to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team which was good but this one went over the top. The storyline is so complicated and you can get confused at times. But the gameplay is really good. You go through dungeons and down different floors and your goal is to rescue the Pokemon trapped in there while battling the wild Pokemon. You actually are the Pokemon which gives you a whole new view and the ending is certain to make you cry or feel sad inside. There are so many things to do. Although the sequel has more to do. Explorers of Sky was not put on here because you have so much to do that it can be a bit much at times and the story was never changed. I had to put darkness on because I fell in love with it. Give it a try and forget the people trying to say it's for kids because it's not!

God of War

Some say that the second God Of War was better than the first but I beg to differ. The first God of War is an action packed gory mess but in a good way. Its based in ancient Greece and you play as the bloodthirsty Kratos on his journey of Revenge to Kill Ares! It's an exciting game to say the least as all of the gods give you weapons that can bring souls back to the dead and more. You go to a variety of places,kill a variety of monsters and its all for your past. The ending is amazing,the gameplay is great and I would recommend this game to everyone. Please buy it!

Resident Evil 4

The horror franchise has had some scary games and some bad games but none matched the power of Resident Evil 4! It took the makers 4 try's but they finally did it. This story is about Leon going to a European village to save a girl. Nothing more. The good thing is that instead of Zombies they have Spanish villagers that go mad at you and there is something more scary when sane people attack as they are faster,have more weapons and they look cool when you shoot them in the head. Just an amazing game.

Super Mario Galaxy

A Mario game finally makes it to the list. Some of you thought Mario 64 was going to be here but it isn't as Mario Galaxy was in my opinion much better. You jump from small planet to planet. Fight a variety of bosses and the difficulty is not too hard or too easy making it just right. You have a variety of things to do and there are so many worlds to explore and all of this is packed onto the wii! It is a great game that kept people hooked for a long time.

Super Mario Bros. 3

Super Mario Bros 3 is the best 2D Mario game and the best of every 2D game at that. The sheer simplicity,Yoshi and retro parts of this game will make you come back for more. I sadly don't have much more to say except that you should play it. Its hard to explain the greatness.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

We are now getting into the serious games now. GTA: SAN ANDREAS was the best way to turn GTA into a 3D game and it had so much to do. You made your character your own and there was soo much to explore. You could go into the city as a high class person or you could drive around the countryside area. There was so many cheats for this game to get the helicopter or the jetpack and some people jumped off a high building and killed their character because they could get the next best thing to real suicide if they were frustrated. A great game and I still haven't finished it!

Metal Gear Solid

The top 3 now! Metal Gear Solid had to be here. It is a great game and it started the adult gaming and the whole espionage genre. The voice acting was amazing. The gameplay was just the best. The boss battle against Psycho Mantis was confusing and the story is just plain mental but in a good way. This game was the pinnacle of its generation and the endings were different depending. A great and deserving game. Too bad the sequels were horrible except the 3rd.

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

You guys never expected this to be number 2 did you. All of you Zelda fans out there better not scream and yell because this game was the best in its time. It had amazing graphics. The gameplay was great. Enemies were original and there were many ways to win. The bosses were just magnificent and this game was so memorable with so much stuff to do and the final battle was just epic. The dungeons were fun and the puzzles were puzzling and they made you think really hard. This isn't number one because it is way too overrated for a game. People give it so much praise and forget that there are other games that are actually better. This game is a must play even now and I hope you fans of OOT can forgive me. But what is number 1?

Shadow of the Colossus

The best game of all time is Shadow Of The Colossus! This game is the best of the best. The story first is a very emotional and touching story. Your a man called Wander who travels to the Forbidden Land to ask a disembodied God called Dormin if he can revive Wander's supposed Girlfriend Mono. Dormin sends Wander on a journey through the Forbidden Land to kill 16 colossi along with his horse Agro. Each of the colossi are completely different. Three of them are small,the rest are huge,two of them fly,two of them live underground,2 live in the water and one lives on top of a giant platform in a lake. They are all based on animals and people. The 1st colossus is based on a Minotaur while one is based on an eagle and one is based on a sand snake. Each live in a different area of the Forbidden Land. One lives in a cave filled with sand,one lives in a desert fortress and one lives underneath the desert but can fly. The actual landscape is amazingly detailed and it is practically art. It is beautiful to just ride through the plains or to look at the ocean or even see the dead body's of the colossi. BEAUTIFUL! Each colossus is detailed so much and they are pieces of art themselves and when you kill them you fell so much guilt. They raise many questions like. What did they do to you and whether saving your love at the price of sixteen innocent beasts is worth it? The music in this game is breathtaking as there is a track for everything. A battle track,a quiet track and some colossi have tracks exclusive to them. The music put's Lord Of The Rings track to shame. The animation of Agro is the most realistic ever. Agro acts like a horse. Agro grazes and when your riding him and you want him/her to stop Agro does it just like an actual horse. Its a lonely game and the ending will move even the hardest and bravest players to tears. You have to try this game because if you do not you will never have lived. There you have my top 10 best video games ever. I hope people can understand my views.
