Playstation 2 games were the best in their time. Some were just terrible and some were good but then there were those games that made you cry,laugh and jump for joy when they are mentioned. Those games were also the kind of games that made you scream in happiness and gave you bragging rights when you beat them. These are the ones that I believe were my most memorable. My opinion. Crash Nitro Kart

This game was one of the funniest and best video games I played as a kid. Crash nitro kart had an original storyline that contributed to the game in a very positive way. The characters were fun to use and you had a wide selection as well as a wide amount of courses to choose from although they ripped off rainbow road from Mario kart in one of the last courses. A variety of things to do including collecting crystals,beating your friends and winning time attack mode. This game is a better game than Mario Kart although if I have one complaint it would be why did it only take one day to complete. Number 10:Crash Nitro Kart!

God of War

God of War is one of the bloodiest and goriest games ever. You play Kratos,a Greek Spartan who goes on a quest to kill the Greek God Ares! You defeat a Hydra,save a woman from falling off a rope(Better than it sounds) and you go to the underworld and back. This game has a wide variety of weapons including blades attached to your arms, Medusa's head and the power to summon the souls of the dead. You battle many Greek monsters from Greek Mythology and you also find out that Ares is a ginger.(No offence to Ginger's anywhere) You kill women to find Pandora's box and you climb up a titan for 3 days! This game is an epic one and a must play. The only problem is that the monsters are repetitive and there were not enough bosses.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Pirates of the Caribbean is a great game. The humor from the movie along with the epic story has been transferred to the ps2 perfectly. The controls are easy,the fights are fun and the levels are huge. Its a great game but there is not much to say about it. You have to play it to see what I mean.

Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights

Never has Scooby-Doo made it onto a top 10 list until now. This game was one of the 1st Scooby-Doo 3D games and this put it in my good books. The monsters in this game are so fun to battle and the storyline is amazing along with the small funny bits in between. The gang finds themselves faced with every monster they've ever stopped and they have to find out what's going on while the entire gang goes missing. Good luck Scooby.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Battle for Bikini Bottom

This game deserves this spot. Spongebob games have been childish and sad but this game is most possibly compared to James Bond in action areas. This game features Spongebob trying to save Bikini bottom from plankton but this escalates from a small kids game to something much much more. The final boss has the most epic music and the levels are unique in their own ways but the funny is the same. This game is a one off gem.

The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age

Lord of the Rings is a great action fighting game on Ps2 so when they released this game fans were shocked to find out that this game would be played with different characters in the style of an RPG! This game features Berethor,a Gondorian scout sent to find Boromir and instead gets caught up in an adventure of a lifetime. A very amazing game with fun battles,great moves,more than half a million combos with items and you can play as the evil people in evil mode! Go through your favourite battles with Berethor and his companions as you journey from Eregion through Moria and to Gondor. Have fun playing this as it is an amazing game.

Sonic Heroes

Sonic Heroes was one of those games that got good and bad reviews. People argued that the 3D ruined the game but others said it made it good. I personally loved this game whether on ps2 or computer. It gave me a reason to love sonic and it made me proud to own it. The bosses were fun. The levels were vast and huge and the teams were fun to play with but the final battle was the real best bit of the game as it showed you battling in the air with Team Sonic battling the monster. The only bad bit was that it was too short.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Grand theft Auto: San Andreas is a gem. The best GTA game of them all. You can hijack vehicles,do missions and shoot cops. So fun and you can use cheats to drive helicopters and commit suicide. With a host of fun missions with lots of guns and cars,this game is da bomb. The problem is I love this game so much but I cannot put it into words. Its just amazing.

Star Wars: Battlefront II

Star Wars: Battlefront 2 was the best game to date. You went around the worlds conquering planets and killing enemies. Many unique modes including The rise of the empire which see's you on the bad side or the dark side of the force. You can play as all the Jedi and the Sith from the films and you can play on over 12 maps. Way more than 12 actually. The story's are so fun and when you win you just have a feeling of happiness. Number 2

Shadow of the Colossus

Shadow of The colossus is the best PS2 Game to date. Released in 2006 the people that made this game are the only ones that got it right. The game features you as Wander,a boy trying to revive his supposed lover, Mono. You are told by Dormin,a disembodied God to kill sixteen colossi. You then go around the forbidden land killing the peaceful creatures. The graphics and the actual land is beautiful and looks so lush and real. The trees look just like trees and the land is so detailed that you have to gaze in wonder. The music for this game is even more amazing. This music puts Lord Of The Rings to rest and thrashes them completely. I have posted a vid with the best music ever. The horse you are paired with is called Agro and is the best horse that has ever been made. It puts Epona from Zelda into a lower place as this is the best horse. The story is the best although you have little to go on you grow attached to what you have and that makes the ending all the more horrible as it is highly emotional. The colossi are so different from each other ranging from big to small. They are based on all different creatures E.G. Valus 1st colossus:Minotaur,Pelagia 12th colossus:A thing? They all have different ways to attack and move and it's hard to actually beat them. This game is the best and if you have not played this you have not lived. This has been my top 10 Best PS2 Games
