Food explorationEver watch Bizarre Foods? Andrew Zimmern did a special in Iceland and he sampled many of Iceland strange delicacies. You can too! Try some harkal? (rotten shark), or maybe some Svith? (roasted sheep skull). And, there are many more unusual items, from whale meat to lunch meat made from rams' testicles. Then you can wash it down with some Brennivin; an Icelandic schnapps called Black Death. Icelandic hot dogs are made with lamb and pork - very tasty!

Hot springsIceland is a volcanic island. Therefore it has natural hot springs galore! There are tours you can take like, Highlands and Hot Springs tour that focuses on letting you experience as many hot springs as possible in 2 days. Or, you can go grab a map and find 'em yourself.

Salmon FishingIceland has some of the best salmon fishing in the world. Riddled with rivers and streams, you'll have lots of choices. But beware, getting a permit can be expensive - that's part of why fishing is so good, because the high costs limits the number of fisherman.

CampingCamping is extremely popular in Iceland, and for good reason... When the weather is nice it is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen. And, camping is a great way to experience nature up close and personal. There are excellent (and clean) camping locations and facilities all across the country!
