In 2009, commercials are one thing we all can agree to hate. They get in the way of the TV shows we we're watching, etc. etc., but 2009 TV commercials have reached a breaking point with me. But the weirdest TV commercials go one step further than general hate, and completely reduce our brains to liquid. We don't know if we hate them, we don't know if we GET them, but we do know that we're seeing the commercials when we close our eyes...and enter our nightmares. In 2009, we were given a lot of commercials that were entertaining for the sheer amount of ridiculousness and insanity they brought forth. This is a list of the top echelon of those horrible yet entertaining gems.

    Beard-a-thon

    I didn't know they held Beard-a-Thons in my fever dreams! The sound was probably done by David Lynch. For something as straight forward as a Beard-A-Thon, this commercial is really freakin weird. WTF. Maybe I just don't understand people with beards.

    DSW Speed Dating

    Okay I’m not really even sure what is going on this commercial only that I’m pretty sure that this commercial is not getting me into buying some shoes, or even make me understand a reason to go to this store. Maybe a little TOO much incest for a discount shoe commerical? I dunno, maybe that's just me or maybe they're REALLY centering in on their target demographic.

    All You Need is Cheese

    Canadian dairy is pretty much known for having created some of the world’s worst commercials (and probably giving us a lot of vegans in the process) but this one… Did her horrific murderer of a grandfather just cut off that playfully creepy cheese man? What the hell is happening in this commercial? I mean, I wouldn't take broccoli from a stranger, let alone a cheese man, but what that grandfather did was just grizzly.

    This commercial actually made me FEEL. I FELT for this man. FELT, you guys. Unless Centraal Beheer can call someone with a jet pack, I'm pretty sure that guy is still totally f**ked.

    Intel Rockstars

    This commercial is really really random. I get that the rock stars at Dell are the designers and we like them for their brains and not their looks...but do these guys really take coffee from the commons room? To that, Karl Malone raises a huge eye brow. Huge.

    WTF. Why is the DSW commercial #2 on this list? It really is a simple concept that I think got played out pretty well. I think each shoe matched really well if their "personality," and frankly, I like DSW because it's cheaper than department stores.

    I think I've been hanging around my girlfriend a little too much.
