I have tried this and it was the best single malt I've ever tasted. Price is about $200. Admittedly a pricey gift, but well worth it. A little tricky to find but worth the search. I have seen it at BevMo. -

9 years old. 100 proof of small-batch Kentucky straight bourbon goodness; I know this first hand too. Widely available (but still good) and not too pricey at around $50. - 5
Icelandic Vodka
Reyka vodka from Iceland is new. But it's very clean and very smooth. I have been to Iceland and have (also) sampled this vodka. Very good straight, mixes well too. Price is about $25. Skál ! (That's Icelandic for cheers)
