According to Forbes magazine, these 10 funny men (and women) are the top earning comedians and comics in the world. Not only do they get to make people laugh with their television shows, DVDs and stage performances, but they also get to make a ridiculous amount of money for being hilarious.

While many top comedians are now earning tens and hundreds of millions a year with films and television shows, to make this Forbes list, comedians and comics had to use stand-up as their main source of income. That eliminated stars like Jerry Seinfeld, Jay Leno and Conan O'Brien, but still included a top 10 list that earned more than $165 million during the year.

Jeff Dunham, a ventriloquist and stand-up comedian, banked the most money during 2010 according to Forbes, raking in a whopping $22.5 million for his work on stage, television and in films. Not only does Dunham lead in the United States, but the funny man also is among the most successful comedians in Europe and on YouTube, receiving over 350 million hits.

Though not every comedian makes the millions that Jeff Dunham sees, all of these top-earning comedians and comics brought in over $10 million in 2010, making them not only funny, but pretty darn rich too.
