This years summer blockblusters have fresh takes on old franchises, new heros and some old action heros united for the first time on screen. Starring some of the hottest names in Hollywood like Angelina Jolie, Megan Fox and Kristen Stewart this summer movie season has a film for everyone.

Salt
Angelina Jolie graces the silver screen as Evelyn Salt in the action packed thriller directed by Philip Noyce. So who is Salt? Obviously audiences will need to watch the movie to find out. Fans of action movies and Angelina Jolie will be lining up around the block on July 23, 2010 to check out this guaranteed summer blockbuster where Angelina Jolie plays a spy that quickly becomes suspected as a double agent. Her character Salt subsequently takes off to either clear her name or complete her sinister mission. Car crashes, shooting and Angelina Jolie all look like ingredients for a summer blockbuster. -

Iron Man 2
A superhero movie finally done right! Robert Downey Jr. and Gwyneth Paltrow are joined by Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson and even Garry Shandling in the sequel Iron Man 2. Bigger budget, bigger stars and the movie looks like it will be an even bigger hit then its predecessor. Get ready for long lines on May 7th 2010. - 3Director Paul W.S. Anderson presents the first Resident Evil 3-D movie to theaters on September 10, 2010. Fans of the franchise just need to watch the trailer to know they'll have to watch the movie. MIlla Jovovich is back as Alice and this time makes some friends to help her undead in the fourth installment of the Resident Evil franchise. No one kills zombies like Milla does.

- 4Prince of Persia is based on the hit game franchise by the same name. So far every game adapted for film has flopped at the box office, but Prince of Persia may change that record. Mike Newell directs Gemma Arterton, Jake Gvilenhall and the infamous Ben Kingsley in this Arabian tale. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Times seems to hold well to the video game's story line while being clear enough for those unaware of the game to still enjoy the film. Release is set for May 28th, 2010.

Written and directed by Sylvester Stallone The Expendables stars old sly himself (Rocky, Rambo), Jason Statham (Transporter and Crank franchise), Jet Li (Hero), Bruce Willis (Die Hard franchise), Arnold Schwarzenegger (The Terminator himself!), Brittany Murphy (Sin City) and even Dolph freaking Lundgren! Who cares about the story line this movie is just worth watching to see all these actors in the same action movie! Coming to theaters August 12, 2010.
