A list of all major West Wing Characters, with photos. Some of whom were supposedly based on real people. Created by Aaron Sorkin, The West Wing aired from September of 1999 to May of 2006. It follows the presidency of fictional President Josiah Bartlet. The show won several Golden Globes during its seven seasons and dozens of Emmy awards. The show followed the daily life of those who work within the White House. This included the ins and outs of political work, from closed doors meetings with Congress, to life on the campaign trail. White house staffers who watched the show complimented the creators for capturing the "feel" of life in the West Wing.
