    Shaun of The Dead
Directed by Edgar Wright and starring the always funny Simon Pegg. This movie does what most of us think about when watching traditional zombie movies. I mean come on, they're slow, why not chuck records at their heads while waiting for them to eat you. If you love zombie movies you have to see this one!

    Zombieland
Directed by Ruben Fleischer and starring the 420 loving Woody Harrelson. Zombieland is slated to be the funniest zombie movies ever. Only reason it's ranked #2 is because it's not yet viewable to the general public. No spoilers here but forget flipping burgers, go zombie hunting.

    Planet Terror
Written and directed by the genius Robert Rodriguez and starring omg Rose McGowan. In classic Rodriguez style this movie kills the characters that deserve to die and shows characters don't have to be ex-marines to be a zombie killing hero. It's a must see zombie comedy.

    FIDO
FIDO was directed by Andrew Currie and stars Carrie-Anne Moss who played Trinity from the Matrix franchise. Who says zombies don't make good pets. This movie lets you know if zombies existed corporations would find a way to exploit them. The entire movie may not be lol, but it has its moments.

    The Evil Dead
Written and directed by the Sam Rami who produced Xena and is currently working on pre-production for a Warcraft movie based on the addictive game franchise. It also stars of course Bruce Campbell. One of the first funny zombie movies ever made.

    Dawn Of The Dead-Remake
Directed by Zack Snyder, original screenplay by the master George A. Romero and starring Ving Rhames always a bad ass. There are just a few hilarious scenes in this movie but it's still funny. A little girl that eats her Dad, you know that's classic.

    Braindead
Directed by Peter Jackson the producer of District 9, The Lord of the Rings franchise and currently executive producer for "Halo" the movie based on the blockbuster video game. The main characters antics make up for the lack of production value. Most people think their parents are zombies anyway, this movie just shows what they would really be like as the undead.

    Sars Wars
Directed by who the hell knows and starring some Thai people. This movie is low budget and cheesy but manages to leave you laughing. It's hard to find but it's still better then the reality shows on TV.

    Zombie Holocaust
Directed by Marino Girolami and starring Conan O'Brien, oh never mind its Donald O'Brien. Probably would have been funnier with Conan. Anyway, this is another movie that is funny because it's so cheesy. Don't waste your time on the movie just watch the trailer, all the best scenes are in it.

I would say Dance of the Dead as well. I rented it, knowing it would be cheesy, but I seriously laughed the whole way through it. Zombies that are stopped by hard rock music? Nickelback wouldn't stand a chance.

two words: Zombie Strippers. It's campy, stupid, full of naked porn stars, and has some pretty damn good gore. I also third the motion of "Evil Dead" not being a zombie movie. Same thing goes for "28 Days/Weeks Later", in case it comes up.

I would argue that Evil Dead is not a zombie movie, so much as it's a possession/horror movie. The kids are possessed by spirits, they're not turned into zombies. That said, it's still a fantastic cult classic and I applaud any publicity it receives.

I second the motion. 'Evil Dead' is about as much of a zombie movie as 'The Exorcist'.
