Ok this list is pretty much wrong. Sorry to say but there are so many other worse events than 9/11! What about the Sierra Leone civil war or the Darfur genocide, or the Rwnadan genocide. Really this author needs to re-read all this and make a much better one.

we must never forget the holocaust, most of us dont really think of the people who died, as people we think of them as numbers e.g 6 million Jews died so we must remember everysingle one of them.

Wow....just wow... September 11th was worse than world war 2? You don't even have the World War 1 on there, and that was a horrifying conflict. And putting Columbine on there? Forgive me for saying this, but in the grand scheme of things it was nothing. How about the Rwandan Genocide, the Ethnic Cleansing in the Balkans, the Killing Fields of Cambodia, and that's just in the 20th century.

How about the collapse of the Roman Empire, the North American Slave trade, the Spanish Inquisition, the Stalinist Purges,

this is written almost solely through an american scope of history, columbine and the challenger don't belong anywhere on this list by scale alone, 9/11 was not that big compared to, say, almost any war ever, how about stalin's starving of 20 million of his own troops?, it could be argued that the holocaust falls within the scope of WWII, how about the crusades, the inquisition, or AIDS, how about the pope encouraging sex without condoms in Africa (because contraception is evil) causing untold misery and large scale AIDS epidemics?, how about hiroshima/nagasaki (or would that fall within WWII?), the wars of Alexander the great or Genghis Khan or Kublai Khan, Pol Pot?, Idi Amin, Darfur, Rwanda, the Serbian genocide, the US war against Iraq (we've killed over 80,000 civilians so far but we don't call it a genocide or report these as casualties on the American news), there are many events that far outrank half this list, I probably didnt even touch about a bunch that I don't even know.

I mean columbine? really?

Where is WWI, Vietnam War, any other War. 9/11 is not even in top 10. There has been way way way worse things than 9/11.

I would rename this list to "Worst Events That I Happen To Actually Know About". Otherwise, I'm pretty sure that there would be a few things on here older than 100 years. What about the Armenian Genocide? The Crusades? Hiroshima? Destruction of the Native Americans? Stalin's Purges? Massacre of the Latins in Constantinople? Mongol Invasions?

I think the dude who wrote this just needs to re-think the use of the word "History".
