This slideshow features a young Jon Stewart, the famous comedian and television host of The Daily Show that airs on Comedy Central, which has won a whopping nineteen Emmy Awards to date. As a young man, Jon Stewart basically looked the same, other than looking a little more youthful and having a thicker head of hair. He was known to play soccer in high school and college, which you'll see in the photos below. Prior to his Comedy Central days, he used to host his own show on MTV called The Jon Stewart Show, then hosted another MTV production called You Wrote It, You Watch It. Perhaps the genius behind Jon Stewart’s fame is that in addition to providing a comic approach to news headlines, he frequently gains exposure on national news stations, which airs his funny rehashing of their programs. He began performing stand-up comedy in New York after his classmates encouraged him to, but he was too afraid to delve into performing on stage at first. His debut was at the same club that Woody Allen also began his career. Stewart recently announced that he will soon be leaving The Daily Show in order to return to performing stand-up comedy.
