George Pilgrim grew up on a horse ranch in Piedmont, Oklahoma, where he learned dressage/equitation, hunter, jumper, and polo; eventually becoming an expert horse rider. While in school, he took up tennis. He excelled and ranked internationally as a junior and then went onto compete on a professional level. An unfortunate injury forced him to become a tennis instructor. George then moved to New York City, to work as a tennis instructor at New York Health & Racket Club, where the elite of New York worked out and played tennis. This aspect of George's career in the 90's opened the door to a chance meeting with the late great Warren Robertson. He was influenced to change direction of his career, when he got into scene studies at the Warren Robertson Theatre workshops. He was then introduced to the late Toby Gibson, who worked with actors; Tom Cruise and Giancarlo Esposito. Under her guidance and management, George was a model for one of Levis' national campaigns. He modeled for L'uomo Vogue, Cosmopolitan Men premier edition, and he secured contract role as the original AJ Chamberlain for Guiding Light in 1996. Upon leaving Guiding Light, George moved to Los Angeles, CA. He was represented by the late JJ Harris, partner of UTA (United Talent Agency) at the time, who also represented Kevin Costner, Drew Barrymore and others. With JJ Harris, George auditioned and secured many roles for television series and films. Some of George's noted successes include the high-rated, popular episode in Zalman King's, 'Red Shoe Diaries (9) - Hotline', 'Tammy and the T-Rex' with Denise Richards, Paul Walker, & Terry Kiser, and 'VIP; Val Under Covers'.
