They're eyesores. You've endured them. I've endured them. Let our vengeance begin.
At the March 7, 2010 Oscar ceremony, the Best Director award was presented by Barbra Streisand. As many foretold, the winner was the director of "The Hurt Locker," Kathryn Bigelow, the first woman ever to win the Best Director Oscar. But that wasn't the best part. No, the best part is that as Bigelow and Streisand were walking off the stage, the apparently decorum-deaf Oscar orchestra played their rendition of Helen Reddy's "I Am Woman" - a sincere sentiment, to be sure, but just about the cheesiest song they could have played for such a historic moment.
