When it comes to TV, the past decade has given us everything from Firefly to Friends, Colbert to Cartman. Now, with the 00s coming to a close, it's time to salute the best of the boob tube. From Baltimore to the boardroom, this is the absolute best TV of the last ten years. Oh, and by the way, reality TV need not apply.
When it comes to movies, the last decade gave us pirates, robots, zombies and the return of Adam Sandler as a 'serious actor.' Not to mention a little movie you may have heard of about folks looking for a certain piece of pretty jewelery. As the 00s wind down, it's clear that some movies are bound to take top honors as the best films of the decade, while others are destined for the discount DVD bin at your local Longs.
In 2009, we saw acclaimed actor John Turturro climb a real Egyptian pyramid to call in an airstrike on a pair of CGI robot testicles. In other words, it was something of a disappointing year. Here are some of the films that failed to meet our (often extremely low) expectations of quality in 2009. Not the worst films of the year per se; these are just the ones that deserved to be better… a LOT better.

"Sequels suck." At least that's what Scream 2 said, but then again Scream 2 isn't good enough to make this list. This week marks the release of H2, the sequel to Rob Zombie's abysmal attempt to remake/re-imagine/justify ruining Halloween, and while he's got a pretty good track record with sequels (The Devil's Rejects just barely squeaked into the Top Thirteen) we thought we'd take the time to remind audiences that sequels can be classics too. Whether these films were better than the original (some were), re-invented the franchise (some did) or are simply entertaining films in their own right (they all are), here are a few cinematic delicacies to cleanse your palette, in case H2 leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
