On average, up to 60% of the junk that is hauled is diverted from the landfill and is then either recycled or donated to charity and non-profit organizations. 1-800-GOT-JUNK? was founded in Vancouver, British Columbia in 1989 by founder and current CEO Brian Scudamore after seeing a junk hauling truck in front of him at a McDonald's Drive-thru.
