28 Hours Later

28 Hours Later is a 2009 Irish post-apocalyptic science fiction film directed by Stephen Staunton. The film is a prequel to 28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later and is set one day after the accidental release of a highly contagious virus. The film focuses on a small band of survivors who barricade themselves inside of an abandoned farmhouse and wage a desperate last stand to stay alive. The film begins twenty-eight hours after the outbreak of the RAGE virus in the United Kingdom., which has slowly made its way towards Ireland. Seven strangers unite and seek shelter and hospice from the Infected in an abandoned farmhouse in the countryside.
