A Boy and His Shoe

A Boy and His Shoe is an upcoming film by Alfonso Cuarón. It is produced by Esperanto Films, which is owned by Cuarón. The stories of a French girl who moves to Scotland with her family for their summer holidays and two troubled Scottish travelling gypsy type boys named Paddy and Elijah who end up crossing paths in surprising and touching ways. The film is shot in England, France and Scotland. In order to cast the children's roles, auditions were held for teenagers in school aged 16–18 all around Scotland.. The film was scheduled to start filming in spring 2009 and have a late 2009 release but the film has been pushed to a 2011 release and filming has yet to begin, reasons being complications with casting as so many people auditioned...
