A Tree with Roots

A Tree With Roots is a four-CD bootleg album by Bob Dylan, released in July of 2001. This album is an upgrade from the original 5-CD version, also released by White Bear. This collection is generally considered the most complete version of the "Basement Tapes"—recordings made by Dylan and The Band in West Saugerties in upstate New York between June and October, 1967. Every track on A Tree With Roots comes from Dylan and The Band's summer recording sessions in the basement of the Big Pink, which The Band was renting for the summer.
