Adam Tihany

Adam D. Tihany (born Transylvania in 1948) is an American interior designer. He was named one of the greatest American interior architects by The New York Times in 2001 . Upon graduating from the Politecnico di Milano, School of Architecture and Urban Planning, Tihany apprenticed in design firms throughout Europe. In 1976, he moved to New York City, assuming the role of design director for the firm Unigram. Two years later, Tihany established his own multidisciplinary studio that encompassed all aspects of design, offering clients a bespoke experience – from commercial and residential interiors to furniture, products, exhibitions, and graphics.Tihany has built his career on designing hotel and restaurant interiors.
