Alexey Poltaranin

Alexey Poltoranin (Алексей Юрьевич Полторанин, born April 29, 1987) is a Kazakhstani cross-country skier who has competed at the international senior level since 2004. Poltoranin competed at the 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics, the World Ski Championships in 2007 and 2009, and the 2007-08 Tour de Ski. His best World Cup result is a fourth place in the three day mini tour in Kuusamo in 2011. His best World Championship results are seventh places at the 4 X 10 km relay in 2007 and at the team sprint in 2009. Poltaranin finished fifth in both the individual and team sprint at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver.
