Angelo Gigli

Angelo Gigli (born June 4, 1983) is an Italian basketball player currently signed with Virtus Bologna. At 209 cm (6 ft 10 ¼ in), he is a left-handed power forward and center. Gigli was born in South Africa, where his father worked. He moved to Italy when he was two years old. Before joining Virtus Bolgna, Gigli played for Fortitudo Roma, Reggio Emilia, Pallacanestro Treviso, and Lottomatica Roma. He has also represented Italy in international competition. Gigli has expressed interest in playing in the American NBA, but he has yet to sign with a team. In July 2011 he signed with Virtus Bologna a three year deal. Gigli spent the previous three years with Lottomatica Roma.
