Arsen Shomakhov

Arsen Shomakhov (Russian: Арсен Шомаков; born 1969) is a Vancouver-based (Canada) Russian blues rock singer-songwriter and musician born in Nalchik, North Caucasus. Guitar player, singer-songwriter Arsen Shomakhov was born in 1969 in Nalchik, in Russia’s North Caucasus. An old family piano had been the first Arsen's musical instrument. Later he discovered his passion for the guitar and began his self-education listening to the recordings of jazz and blues greats. Even while serving in the army he continued playing the guitar and furthermore formed a band with his garrison mates. In 1987 Arsen set up the band "Ragtime" (a literary allusion to E.L.
