Arthur the King

Arthur the King (also known as Merlin and the Sword of more simply known as King Arthur or Merlin), is a 1985 television movie written by David Wyles and directed by Clive Donner, and stars Malcolm MacDowell, Candice Bergen, Edward Woodward, Joseph Blatchley, Rupert Everett, Rosalyn Landor, Patrick Ryecart and Ann Thornton, with Philip Sayer, John Quarmby and Liam Neeson. It is not related to the 2001 Maddy Prior album Arthur the King, except for the fact that they share a common theme. Arthur the King was first broadcast under the name Merlin and the Sword on the 26 April 1985 on BBC1 and again on the 27 April 1986 on BBC2.
