SA Banksys NV is a Belgian company created in 1989 and specializes in electronic payment. On20 July 2006, Banksys and Bank Card Company have been bought by Atos Origin from 4 of their principal shareholders in Belgian banking sector Dexia, Fortis, ING, KBC. Banksys was founded in 1989 through the merger of two Belgian payment networks: Mister Cash and Bancontact. All major Belgian commercial banks are shareholders of Banksys. Banksys authorizes, secures, and guarantees electronic payments in Belgium.
