Barbara Morgan

Barbara Morgan (1900–1992) was an American photographer best known for her work in dance. She was a co-founder of the photography magazine Aperture. Barbara Brooks Morgan, 1900–1992, is well known in the visual art and dance worlds for her penetrating photographic studies of American Modern dancers Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham, Erick Hawkins, Jose Limon, Doris Humphrey, and others. Her photomontage and light drawings rank among the classic experiments of modern American photographic art.
