Batman Dracula

Batman Dracula (1964) is a American film that was produced and directed by Andy Warhol, without the permission of DC Comics. The film was screened only at his art exhibits. A fan of the Batman series, Warhol's movie was a "homage" to the series, and is considered the first appearance of a blatantly campy Batman. The film was thought to have been a lost film until scenes from the picture were shown at some length in the documentary Jack Smith and the Destruction of Atlantis (2006). Gregory Battcock appeared as "Batman". Battcock (1937-1980) was a close friend of Andy Warhol and starred in other films by the artist, including Horse (1965), Eating Too Fast (1966).
