Beatrice

Beatrice ( /biːˈætrɨs/) is a town in Monroe County, Alabama, United States. At the 2010 census the population was 301, down from the 2000 census where it was 412. Beatrice is located at 31°43′59″N 87°12′24″W / 31.73306°N 87.20667°W / 31.73306; -87.20667 (31.733178, -87.206773). According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.4 square miles (3.6 km), all of it land. As of the census of 2000, there were 412 people, 158 households, and 106 families residing in the town. The population density was 304.8 people per square mile (117.8/km).
