Ben Abarbanel-Wolff

Ben Abarbanel-Wolff (b. 1974 in New Haven, Connecticut, USA) is an American saxophonist based in Berlin, Germany. Abarbanel-Wolff grew up in Washington, D.C., and studied at the University of Michigan and the New School for Social Research, in New York City. He also studied intensively with drummer Milford Graves at Bennington College, where he earned a Master's degree. In 2001, Abarbanel-Wolff moved to Berlin where he is active in the city's funk, jazz, and African music scenes. He is a member of the Xavier Naidoo band, the Ulrich Gumpert Quartette, Sirone's Concord, founder and musical director of the Afrobeat Academy Band (Bantu and Brother's Keepers).
