Bird College of Dance & Theatre Performance

Bird College of Dance & Theatre Performance is an independant performing arts college, based in Sidcup, Kent, offering specialist vocational training in dance and musical theatre. Key areas of study include Ballet, Tap Dance, Jazz Dance, Contemporary Dance, Singing/Voice Craft, Drama and other related subjects. The Doreen Bird School of Dance opened in 1945 and is the predecessor of Bird College. Not having a dance studio at her disposal, the founder and principal Doreen Bird, initially taught students in her parents living room, rolling up the carpet to provide a suitable dance surface.
