BCA Europe (British Car Auctions), is the largest vehicle remarketing business in Europe, with an annual turnover in excess of £4 billion. The company was founded in 1946, by David Wickins in Frimley, Surrey, when he sold his mother's car on a plot of land, and subsequently saw the potential for taking the business further. He named his company Southern Counties Motor Auctions, later becoming British Car Auctions as success expanded. It has since become Europe’s largest used vehicle auction company, selling well over 1 million vehicles every year.
