Burr Harrison

Burr Powell Harrison (July 2, 1904 – December 29, 1973) was a U.S. Representative from Virginia, son of Thomas W. Harrison. Born in Winchester, Virginia, Harrison attended the public schools, Woodberry Forest School, Virginia Military Institute, Hampden-Sydney College, and the University of Virginia. He was graduated from Georgetown University Law School, Washington, D.C., in 1926. He was admitted to the bar the same year and commenced practice in Winchester, Virginia. Attorney for Frederick County 1932-1940. He served in Senate of Virginia during the years 1940-1942.
