Carmine

Carmine are a band from the southern suburbs of Sydney who formed in 2006. Influenced by such bands as Foo Fighters, Muse and Jimmy Eat World, Carmine combines classic rock with pop sensibilities and punk tinges. Amongst other reasons, the band is named after a character from the film Mystery Men. They consist of Jony Bluhdorn (lead guitar, backing vocals), Lucas Gillman (guitar, lead vocals), Paul Skropidis (bass guitar) and Tim Whipp (drums). They are often accompanied by Lisa Swift (touring keyboardist). When Jordan Gillman was asked to provide a band to play at a cafe that he helped run, he sought the assistance of his younger brother, Lucas Gillman.
