Caroline Hoxby

Caroline Minter Hoxby is a labor and public economist whose research focuses on issues in education and local public economics. Currently, she is the Scott and Donya Bommer Professor in Economics at Stanford and director of the Economics of Education Program for the National Bureau of Economic Research. She is also a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution and the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. From 1994 to 2007, she was a faculty member of Harvard University where she was one of only 24 Harvard College Professors and was the Allie S. Freed Professor of Economics.
