Chalkeia (Greek: Χάλκεια) is a former municipality in Aetolia-Acarnania, West Greece, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Nafpaktia, of which it is a municipal unit. Population 3,161 (2001). The seat of the municipality was in Trikorfo. The municipal unit Chalkeia is subdivided into the following communities (constituent villages in brackets): Kryoneri (Greek: Κρυονέρι meaning "cold water") is a settlement located east-southeast of Messolongi.
